A graduate of the University of Colorado, John Novack began his architectural career in Chicago with C.F. Murphy Associates where he became the Director of Design. John founded Urban Design Group in 1975. He is the Principal Architect and designer for several of the firm's major award-winning projects including Denver's Tabor Center and San Antonio's Rivercenter. He is also the Principal Architect/designer for additions and renovations to historically significant structures like Tulsa's Philbrook Museum of Art and the 17th Century International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague, Czech Republic.

In his 36 years of practice, John's work has received international recognition and acclaim through numerous publications and exhibits, including shows at the Louvre and the British Museum of Art. He was admitted to The College of Fellows of The American Institute of Architects in 1994.
