Cameron University Science Complex is a state-of-the-art undergraduate teaching facility.
Included in the facility are specialized teaching spaces and laboratories designed around the curriculum of biochemistry, organic and analytical chemistry, physics, electronic and laser technology, biology, histology, physiology, anatomy, botany, microbiology, and zoology. Three faculty laboratories are included as possible future graduate teaching and research labs.
Each of the ten classrooms can be used as a long distance learning center and is electronically interconnected to the campus and other classrooms. A 100-seat lecture hall complete with demonstration table and audio-visual systems complements the classrooms and faculty offices to create a complete sciences learning facility.
The project team resolved a budget shortfall of almost $2 million on the project without modifying the program or design standards of the institution by integrating a Construction Manager onto the team and packaging the building into discrete value driven packages.
