The Cascabel Club

Located on a grassy promontory that views the length of the valley, the Cascabel Club reflects inward on a great village green anchored by a towering rock fireplace. The Club is a place of containment for fly-casting lessons, children’s games and family cookouts. A neutral stone, log and wood operations building fronts the uphill side of the green. A simple living room building gently encloses the green to the south, affording an open/airy overlook of the entire site. The dining hall/kitchen building rotates around the cookhouse chimney, with small terraced eating areas that cascade to the swimming pool terrace above the lake and river below. Rock-lined gravel paths lead to a series of log cabins sited beyond the lake’s edge.
