Charles Town Races is located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, within an easy drive from the Baltimore-Washington area. UDG has completed four expansions to this 1933-era thoroughbred horse racetrack as it continues to increase its entertainment and gaming components.

The UDG-designed master plan adds to the existing grandstand in carefully sequenced phases. New casino and support function areas provide gaming, an assortment of dining and entertainment venues, structured parking decks, and a future hotel. The master plan allows for staged slot expansion, timed and sized according to market response. The phased improvements did not obstruct on-going operations for either the horse racing or the gaming. By early 2004, Charles Town Races had become the largest non-native American slot operation in the country.
