Conceived as a new racino located on a well-established thoroughbred race track, the new flagship Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course facility is planned for future growth. Opening with over 2,000 slots, the casino is designed to hold 3,000 slots with a planned expansion to 5,000 slots. Distinctive to the design is the interpretation of the Hollywood theme. Experiences unfold from casino area to area, much like the surprises encountered in cinematic back-lots or stage sets.

Though there is a distinct functional separation between racing and gaming, the public has opportunities to share in the experience of the both venues. Circulation paths are marked with key vantage points throughout the facility. Patrons from either side of the venue mingle at the sports bar, located at the entry to the racing grandstand overlooking the casino floor. Racing and casino patrons can enjoy all of the food and beverage outlets, including buffet, specialty restaurant, themed cafes, coffee bar and terrace dining.
