An existing 9,508 g.s.f. facility at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler, formerly the laundry building for the adjacent hospital, was renovated for use as the Public Health Lab of East Texas. The CDC-funded project includes two Biohazard Level 2 and one Biohazard Level 3 diagnostic laboratories.
