The 280,000 square foot facility was designed to showcase the technology of Williams Energy Group and Williams Communications group. The energetic design is a response to the tremendous growth of both subsidiaries. The resource center houses the largest energy trading floor west of the Mississippi, a broadcast network control center, a credit union, company store, medical facility, company cafeteria, multimedia auditorium with overlooking conference and dining rooms, and community, training, teleconference, and briefing rooms. A new working style includes a great deal of teamwork and communication, so old concepts such as solid interior walls and traditional offices gave way to open space, glass walls, and moveable modular furniture.
